TIPS FOR CONSUMERS

SEASON BEGINNING:

  • If you have waxed your sports equipment at the end of the season, then wipe off old wax thoroughly (covering and edge) and brush out the covering.
  • Visual inspection: sports equipment with rusty and / or bad edges, as well as damaged and dry surfaces, will surely need service.

  • For a safe and guaranteed binding release in the event of a fall, it is advisable once a year to subject the functional unit ski binding shoes in a qualified workshop to an electronic functional test, as well as to calculate and set the correct Z value.

  • Ski boots with heavily worn soles impair the triggering function of the binding.

CARE AND HANDLING DURING THE SEASON:

  •  So that the edges do not rust, it is recommended to remove the sports equipment from the car after every winter sports day, to clean of the snow and to dry the edges with a dry cloth.
  • When driving long distances, make sure that your sports equipment is protected from wet and dry road salt dust. Just like the car salt dust attacks all metal parts and promotes corrosion (rusting).

  • A well-prepared sports equipment loses 50-70% of the original good handling characteristics after about 4-7 days, depending on the slope conditions. A regular good service increases safety and brings more riding pleasure even in less good snow conditions.n.

AT THE END OF THE SEASON:

  • After the last winter sports day, it is advisable to clean your sports equipment from snow and dirt, to dry it well and to store it in a dry, dust-free room with normal room temperature (10 ° to 30 ° C).
  • If the sports equipment needs a service, it makes more sense to make it before the next winter, because it is possible that waxed edges are still rusting and thus the effort is for nothing.

HOW DO I RECOGNIZE A GOOD SKISERVICE WORKSHOP?

  • For a good and individual service, a certain minimum time is required. A good ski service in 5 minutes is impossible.

  • In the case of a professional service acceptance, an actual condition analysis is always carried out with a straight edge.

  • For an individual tuning of your sports equipment depending on driving skills and your wishes, a professional service technician always has some questions for you.

  • Sports equipment acceptance should always be performed by a qualified technician.

  • In a good service operation, a service order will tell you exactly which individual service tasks are required on the selected sports equipment and what the costs will be. (Note: standard prices for ski service are usually a sign of quick service work, which often results in a less satisfying handling behavior of the sports equipment)

If there is no time for a brief consultation and / or for the acceptance check, it is advisable to pay attention to the points above.
